What is the Reason for the Change?
The Administrative and Student Information Systems team and ITS is always searching for new and improved ways to provide the latest technology and functionality to the campus community. My.Framingham itself was an evolution of a prior portal. Moreover, as technology, requirements and needs evolve, so will my.Framingham. With the increasing prevalence of mobile use and Microsoft product dependency, the SharePoint platform will extend access and usability by providing ways to integrate the two that were not previously available in my.Framingham. In this revision of my.Framingham, the focus will be to design the portal as a collaboration, information and community hub for the campus community.
Logging In
If you are a member of the campus community, you may have seen this login page before. Welcome to the new Single sign-on environment! Single sign-on (SSO) is a system that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications and services by logging in only once—with just one set of credentials (username and password). With SSO, the FSU service or application that the you are trying to access relies on a trusted third party to verify that users are who they say they are. Right now, only some of the University’s services and application are available with SSO. But check back soon, more are being added!
